It’s not easy to share personal struggles publicly, but I’m doing this in hopes of helping another struggling family. After a rough transition, my teenager completely shut down and refused to speak to any counselor we tried. I expected another cold, institutional intake when we walked into The Up Center, but their staff was pure, patient humanity, no rigid pressure or sterile office vibes at all.
